G15 responds to the HCLG Inquiry into the Affordability of Home Ownership

The Housing, Communities and Local Government (HCLG) Committee has launched an inquiry into the affordability of home ownership, with a focus on those looking to buy a home to live in rather than for rental or investment purposes. The inquiry is examining the challenges faced by first-time buyers and those on lower incomes in accessing home ownership, and how financial support and government policies could help overcome these these barriers.

G15 plays a vital role in expanding access to home ownership in London. We have submitted a formal response to the inquiry, asking Government to consider making a number of policy changes to improve affordability and home ownership. Read our full response below.
