G15 Ethnic Diversity Pledge

The G15 Ethnic Diversity Pledge commits members to work to ensure that organisations - particularly at senior managerial, leadership, and board levels - reflect the communities in which we work in terms of ethnic diversity.

This will help members to build greater trust with residents, and to make better decisions.

The pledge, first signed by Chief Executives in 2020 and updated in 2023, contains three core commitments:

  • We commit to be more ethnically diverse at all levels of our organisations
  • We will collaborate to invest in and support our ethnic minority talent
  • We will celebrate ethnic minority colleagues’ achievements

We publish an annual report on progress that has been in delivering the pledge. This includes key metrics, such as the progress on achieving the commitment that at least 30% of Board members will be from ethnic minority backgrounds by 2025.
