Cost of living support - panel discussion

Every G15 member is seeing the impact of the cost of living crisis on the people we provide homes to or the communities we serve. As energy bills rise and essentials become unaffordable, residents need support more than ever.

G15 members have increased support for residents, including providing £5.8m for vital crisis support this year and helping residents to secure £44m of financial gains last year. Members have committed not to evict anyone who is engaging with us and in arrears due to cost of living pressures, and are working closely with key partners in local government and the third sector to provide more support for people.

However, now is the time to ask the question: How can anchor organisations work better in partnership to deliver crucial support and services?

This in-person panel event is an opportunity for an open discussion about the challenges the cost of living crisis presents to Londoners, and the opportunities anchor institutions have to support people.

We will be discussing how anchor institutions can support people when it matters most with:

The Leader of London Borough of Lambeth, Cllr Claire Holland
Deputy Mayor of London for Communities & Social Justice, Debbie Weekes-Bernard
Chief Executive of the Hyde Group, Andy Hulme
G15 Chair, Geeta Nanda OBE
Assistant Headteacher of the Henry Fawcett Primary School, Rachel Harrison
