New publication shows how the G15 and local authorities are tackling the housing crisis

The G15 has launched a new brochure showcasing how its members are working with local authorities to tackle the housing crisis.
“Building the homes London needs” demonstrates how innovative partnerships between G15 members and local authorities have led to the development of high-quality affordable homes across London and the South East.
It follows the group’s launch of the G15 Offer to London last year in which members made a series of pledges to work with London’s local authorities to tackle the housing crisis.
Members of the G15 look forward to meeting with individual boroughs to explain their approach to partnership working in further detail.
Network Homes Chief Executive takes up G15 Chair role

Helen Evans, Chief Executive of Network Homes, has today taken up the role of Chair of the G15 group of London’s largest housing associations, with Geeta Nanda, Chief Executive of Metropolitan Thames Valley, becoming Vice Chair.

New analysis from the Greater London Authority, produced in partnership with the G15, has shown that £4.9bn a year of government grant funding is needed to deliver the number of affordable homes that London needs.

The UK will only meet its 300,000 homes a year target if it increases funding for affordable housing and moves away from an over-reliance on private sales, according to a new report published by the G15, the National Housing Federation and Homes for the North.
