G15 responds to the GLA's Fire Safety Plan
The G15, the group of London’s largest housing associations, has responded to the GLA’s Fire Safety Plan. The consultation sets out how housing associations should consider fire safety in accordance with the London Plan.
In our response, we make clear that:
- The G15 welcome this guidance and much of what is included our members are already doing.
- The G15 would like to see what assessment has been made of the impact of requiring a person with a CEng or IEng qualification to write a PFSS.
- We would welcome more clarification from the GLA on specific proposals such as when an evacuation lift is needed in a development.
