The G15 Residents’ Group (G15RG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Campbell Tickell as the research partner for A Model for Strategic Resident Involvement – an innovative project exploring how residents can play a stronger role in shaping housing policy and strategic decision-making.

The G15 has responded to the Government’s Warm Homes Fund call for evidence, welcoming the opportunity to help shape investment in warmer, healthier and more affordable homes. We highlight the need to prioritise upgrading existing homes to tackle fuel poverty, reduce energy bills and improve residents’ quality of life, and call for practical, large-scale retrofit supported by long-term funding, realistic grant rates, proportionate regulation, and investment in skills and supply chains.

A new report from the G15 and Housing Today warns that despite recent government support for affordable housing, London’s housing system remains under significant pressure. The State of the Capital 2026 report sets out a series of practical reforms needed to unlock delivery, tackle rising homelessness and support long-term growth across the capital. This week, the G15 Residents’ Group hosted a roundtable that brought together residents, housing providers and policymakers to discuss progress on tackling stigma in social housing.

We raise concerns about the use of modelled outputs driving investment decisions, and call for a more proportionate framework that reflects the realities of older, complex and hard-to-treat housing stock, with clearer transition arrangements and a stronger focus on delivering real benefits for residents.
