G15 members welcome the Government’s commitment to raising standards across the social rented sector. Our number one priority is to ensure residents’ homes are safe, comfortable, and energy efficient. We support the updated Decent Homes Standard (DHS) but believe it must strike the right balance between ambition and deliverability. Read our full submission here.

G15 responds to the Government's Consultation on Improving the Energy Efficiency of Socially Rented Homes in England

G15 members fully support the Government’s ambition to improve energy efficiency in social housing. Upgrading homes is already part of our plans, alongside efforts to cut carbon emissions, reduce fuel poverty, and enhance resident comfort. Aligning MEES with the Decent Homes Standard by 2037, backed by stable funding will help to ensure that delivery is ambitious, efficient, and fair for residents. Read our full submission here.
