The G15 Residents’ Group has responded to the London Assembly investigation into whether London’s homes are ready for extreme heat. Drawing on lived experience, residents highlight that overheating is already a serious and growing issue, particularly in newer homes with poor ventilation and design.
The response calls for stronger design standards, urgent retrofit action, and a resident-led approach to ensure homes remain safe, healthy, and liveable as heatwaves become more frequent.
