Our Community Investment Impact Report for 2024-25 is out now. See how we’re working together with local people to strengthen communities and create opportunities.

Ian McDermott, G15 Chair and Peabody Chief Executive, said: “This report shows the tangible difference our members are making. From supporting local people into work, developing small business and enterprise opportunities alongside community groups, or helping to strengthen people’s financial resilience and wellbeing, we’re working hard every day.

“We know that investing in communities is essential to building a resilient, fairer future for London and everyone who calls it their home. So we’ll continue to work with local people, councils, government, and other partners to provide the right support where it’s needed.”

Sahil Khan, Director of Community Strategy, Partnerships, and Funding, Peabody, said: “Community investment belongs at the heart of social housing, removing barriers, opening up opportunities, and backing residents and communities to fulfil their potential.”

The report ‘Working together to strengthen communities and create opportunities‘ highlights the scale of impact housing associations are delivering. It shows how together we’re working hard to help residents into work, strengthen their financial resilience and support wellbeing at a time of continued cost-of-living pressures.

Last year, we invested £33.1m in community programmes, supporting more than 346,000 people across the capital. The new figures show that together, members generated more than £74.2m in social value through their community investment activity, working closely with local partners to deliver support tailored to the needs of London’s diverse communities.

Across the G15, more than 12,500 people were supported through employment projects, 83,000 helped to access health and wellbeing support, and more than 129,000 received money advice.

The findings underline the important role housing associations play within communities, delivering long-term social and economic value alongside much-needed affordable housing.

Through partnerships with local authorities, charities and community organisations, we’re responding to local priorities and providing targeted support where it is needed most.

Looking ahead we’ll continue to work with partners across London and nationally to build on this impact and ensure communities can access the opportunities and support they need to thrive.
