G15 & UK Cladding Action Group call for government action on building safety

  • 11 June 2021

The G15 and the UK Cladding Action Group (UKCAG) have written jointly to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities, and Local Government to call for government action on building safety.

Writing together, the organisations that represent London's largest housing associations and residents affecting by the building safety crisis, have urged the government to take a proportionate approach to risk and building safety measures, such as waking watches, to avoid costly measures being introduced that could be unnecessary.

The government has also been urged to publish its response to the consultation on fire safety and risk prioritisation, which closed in February 2020, which the G15 responded to.
